76% of patients achieved a clinical pregnancy after completing their Essential package*
*Data includes both Fresh and Frozen transfers, included as part of the Essential Treatment package. See below for more details on what this data includes, and how we define our success rates.
How we measure success
Our statistics use clinical pregnancy rate, which is defined by the presence of a fetal heartbeat on ultrasound examination at around 7 weeks of pregnancy.
We are also collecting data on the live birth rate as a result of Essential Fertility treatment cycles. As it can take up to 12 months from the time of treatment for these final outcomes (live births) to be collected, these will be made available in the future.
The Essential Fertility IVF and ICSI packages include your first two embryo transfers. This breakdown shows the data per embryo transfer from both stages of the Essential Fertility treatment packages for recent treatment cycles, dating from May 2023 - October 2025.
Over 70 patients so far have completed the Essential Fertility treatment packages with confirmed early outcomes (such as clinical pregnancy), and there are many more patients who have started their Essential Fertility package and are in varying stages of treatment. Details are provided below about the number of patients each of our statistics are based on to ensure transparency and reliability.
The Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority (HFEA) verify and publish data for clinics around the UK. As they are currently updating their systems this data cannot be compared to their national average or be verified by the HFEA until their updates are complete (planned for late 2025). In addition, due to the specific eligibility criteria of the Essential Fertility packages, these success rates will not be comparable to general success rates at Manchester Fertility, or other fertility clinics regulated by the HFEA.
Clinical pregnancy rate after first embryo transfer
These success rates show the clinical pregnancy rate after patients' first fresh or frozen embryo transfer. There have been over 100 Essential packages started, where patients have had their first embryo transfer, with a confirmed early outcome (whether they had a clinical pregnancy or not).
Clinical Pregnancy rate after completing an Essential treatment package
These success rates show the clinical pregnancy rate after patients have completed their two embryo transfers, as included within their Essential package, and/or have achieved a live birth after their first or second embryo transfer. Over 70 patients so far have completed their Essential treatment packages with a confirmed early outcome (whether they had a clinical pregnancy or not).
