Here's how it works
Essential Fertility treats patients who meet their eligibility criteria which is centred around age, ovarian reserve (known as AMH), and BMI. To check your eligibility and overall fertility status, our clinical team will carry out a number of fertility checks.
We know trying to access fertility care can be a struggle when people already have busy lives. To make starting your fertility journey easier, we have extended our network so that the checks and tests required can be completed at a centre near you. We now have over 20 locations across the UK where you can access AMH blood tests, blood pressure and BMI checks and ultrasound scans.
What does this mean
It means that patients can now access affordable fertility treatment without making the trip to Essential Fertility's main clinic, based in Manchester, saving you time and money on travel costs.
When you start your Essential Fertility treatment, you will only need to make the trip to Manchester to have your egg collection, embryo transfer, and any monitoring scans.
High prices can limit patients access to fertility help
The path to parenthood can often be challenging, as the price of a private fertility clinic may be too high, there is no access to NHS treatment in your area or it will be difficult to commit to travelling long distances for every appointment to access treatment. Existing options for people across the UK can be limited.
The NHS states that at a conventional private fertility clinic one cycle of IVF can cost up to £5,000 or more. Plus, there are additional costs for medicines, consultations, and initial tests.
