About Raj
Dr Raj Mathur is our Medical Director. A Consultant Gynaecologist with a long and established career in Reproductive Medicine. He is a Consultant Gynaecologist and Subspecialist in Reproductive Medicine at St. Mary's Hospital in Manchester.
He has a unique understanding of the individual needs of private and NHS patients as the founder of Cambridge IVF clinic, which he established in the region before moving to Manchester in 2014.
Well-published in the field of fertility on reducing the risks associated with treatment, he has specific expertise on Ovarian Hyperstimulation Syndrome and is the author of national guidelines relating to the condition. He was co-chair of the group that produced the UK national guidelines for clinics resuming fertility treatment after the Covid-19 pandemic. Dr Mathur is also an external advisor to the HFEA and Fertility Network UK and serves on the editorial board of the journals Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Reproductive Medicine and Fertility Science and Research.
